Excellent Adventure Get-together was Informative

The positive energy, laughter, spirit of fun and adventure was alive Monday afternoon at a Starbucks in Las Vegas. I believe today’s get-together was the most amazing ever. People were happy to be there, happy to share and really take their dreams and adventures seriously. I had a blast.

It was the largest get-together so far. In fact, six of the people in attendance were there for the first time. We’re almost getting too big for Starbucks – I think we used all but two chairs.

In the morning I got a call from a friend who said, “Uh, Denise, there might be an issue with this Starbucks.”

I was there just three days ago – what could be different?

They’re in the middle of a remodeling project and it felt like we were meeting in a construction zone. I would have to choose probably the one Starbucks in all the Vegas Valley that’s being ripped apart. Hey, that was part of the adventure!

Here were some of the cool things people said they want to make a part of their excellent adventure:

Of course I want to travel and write. Others shared their passion for:

• Flying to Jamaica to learn more about family and my country of origin.
• Renting a big house on the beach and inviting family and friends to stay and chill
• Riding the great, famous railways around the world
• Diving in amazing places like the Great Barrier Reef and Cozumel
• Visiting ancient castles in Ireland and stay at night to check out possible paranormal activity
• Moving to London England to live for a couple years
• Driving a big RV and travel to all 58 National Parks in America

One of the things I shared in the get-together this time was an exercise I’ve used at my workshops on how to write a Vivid Vision statement. I love the premise of your blog – Your Excellent Adventure. We all want that, don’t we? Please let me know when you will be in the Los Angeles area, we would love to join you at Starbucks for and Excellent Adventure brainstorm.

  Ernie and I travel to SoCal about every six weeks or so. His two grown sons (and hence our grandkids) live there. They’re not in LA per se – one is in Rancho Cucamonga and the other in Upland – but pretty close. It wouldn’t be tough for me to take the car for a couple hours and do an Excellent Adventure get-together if you’re willing to get some people together at a Starbucks.

We all have “I want to do” and “someday I will” or even “when I get around to it” moments, with Denise and our Excellent Adventure we learn how to not just define what we want, but to make it happen, by kicking obstacles to the curb and HAVE it.
